ETHOS Field Journal

The tech landscape is being crippled by wildfires started by irresponsible innovation. We’re now using the ashes that remain to replant the ethos forest we lost by moving fast and breaking things.

As responsible firekeepers, we see it our duty to support the growth of healthy ETHOS trees that are able to supply oxygen for responsible innovation and support diverse life to thrive in the tech ecosystem.

This field journal documents our progress and observations.

🔎 Current conditions

The first ETHOS tree we’re replanting has grown into a delicate seedling at ethos.tethix.co and is now looking for nutrients to support its growth. We invite you to visit it, create your ETHOS profile, and start nurturing your daily ETHOS practice.

Current growth conditions are not favourable, but we’re committed to learning more about the seedling that has sprouted with the help of Pathfinders. For more on current conditions, we invite you to explore the full Weather Report in the Pathfinders Newmoonsletter.

🪳 Known pests

As you spend time in ETHOS, you might encounter the following pests:

  • When editing multi-select profile fields, the multi-select widget might sometimes fail to load results. Patience often chases this pest away while we prepare humane pest removal measures.

If you encounter new pests not on this list, please send your sighting report to our field experts at ethos@tethix.co

💧 Planned interventions

To strengthen the ETHOS seedling, we’re planning the following interventions in the coming moons:

  • Disclosure notices.
  • Additional ETHOS intents to browse and save to your backpack.
  • Adding and editing organisations and ETHOS intents.
  • My ETHOS Profile badges for your website.
  • My ETHOS customization options to make your reflective space feel more like home.

Seedlings need time to develop. Therefore, we do not intend to rush these interventions. Instead, our current focus is on learning and observing its impact on the ecosystem with your help. If you’d like to suggest an intervention, please send us an email at ethos@tethix.co

We’ll regularly update this field journal with our results and observations.

🌱 Growth log

  • Feb 20, 2024: Updated icons that represent people’s activity status, and added the ability to quickly access collaborators’ current statuses and intents on your My ETHOS dashboard. Some other minor copy and design improvements were also observed in the past moon.
  • Jan 25, 2024: The ETHOS seedling has sprouted with initial functionality during the first full moon of the year. You can now sign up, create your ETHOS profile, start reflecting on your ETHOS intent on the My ETHOS dashboard, browse intents, and add intents to your journey backpack. We welcome the first Pathfinders to ETHOS, thanks for exploring with us.
